What manual operations are required when the paper bowl machine is running?

In the automated production of paper bowl machines, although manual operations do not directly participate in the forming process, they play a key role in process monitoring, parameter adjustment and exception handling. Standardized operations can improve production efficiency by more than 30%.

Three preparations need to be completed before starting the machine. First, check the raw materials to ensure that the food-grade cardboard (thickness 0.2-0.3mm) matches the PE film (melting point 120-130℃), and avoid skewed feeding through tension testing (maintaining 5-8N tension); secondly, calibrate the mold positioning so that the bowl diameter error is ≤0.5mm and the bowl height deviation is controlled within ±1mm; finally, start the preheating system, raise the temperature of the hot pressing roller to 160-180℃, and test the emergency stop button response time (≤0.5 seconds).

Four major indicators need to be monitored in real time during operation. Manual inspections are required every 15 minutes to observe the feeding speed (matching the molding speed of 50-80 pieces/minute) to ensure that the jammed paper is wrinkle-free; the heat sealing temperature is monitored by an infrared thermometer and maintained at 170±5℃ to ensure the bonding strength of the PE film (peel force ≥3N/15mm); check whether there are bubbles at the pressing point of the bottom of the bowl, and clean the residual glue stains on the mold surface in time; count the defective rate, and when the defective rate exceeds 2% for 3 consecutive batches, the machine needs to be stopped for investigation.

Abnormal handling must follow standardized procedures. In case of paper jams, press the emergency stop button to cut off the power supply, use special tools to clean up the waste, and do not touch the moving parts directly with your hands; when the burrs on the bowl mouth are found, stop the machine to replace the blade (the sharpness of the blade must reach Ra0.8μm), and recalibrate the cutting position; if the heat seal is not strong, adjust the hot pressing time (from 1.2 seconds to 1.5 seconds) and test the air pressure (maintain 0.6-0.8MPa).

After the shutdown, finishing work needs to be performed. Clean the residual paper scraps on the equipment, wipe the mold with alcohol to prevent the glue layer from solidifying; record the operation data (such as hourly output, consumables loss), check the completion of the production order; follow the sequence of "power off → gas off → cleaning" to ensure that the equipment is in the waiting state.

The core of manual operation is "monitoring, adjustment, and maintenance": monitor parameter stability, adjust deviation values, and maintain the basic status of the paper bowl machines. Standardized operation can not only reduce the equipment failure rate (from 8% to 2%), but also is a key link to ensure the safety and compliance of food contact paper bowls.
